The problem with this is, Qatar is not part of the VWP (Visa Waiver Program) that exists between the United States, United Kingdom, and other countries.
I have seen Qatari Nationals who were trying to go through the immigration officers when I was on my way back to London from Paris, and it was not a pleasant sight:hitchair: . The UK officers got up and were ready to arrest these two Qataris who said that they have been through immigration and was proudly walking passed the authorities. Too much air in the head in some of them. They were even carrying a painting (as they claimed it to be), which was wrapped like it wasn't meant to be open in the nearest future. Good to say, it was stripped and opened by the customs officials. It was really a painting but the way these Arabs were threatening the British people? It was rude. Yes, I know that everything in Qatar is booming but still it doesn't automatically give their nationals the right to enter my country or the United States. This I believe is for the benefit of all of us, put some of them in their right places. And the way they are in Harrods? :scratch:I could not believe it, like they own the shop or something.
And no matter how rich or powerful these Qataris might be, they still need to get to the American Embassy, get their photo taken, scan their fingerprints, and go through all the troubles of getting a visa. It is much easier nowadays for Filipinos to get a visa to the US or the UK, than them.
Now, that is a breath of fresh air. | |
